BRAZIL-Welcome!

Glad to have you back!

I checked out today's page views and from the items viewed it appears that you have fully grasped the current challenges facing Brazil. FYI, the following pages were the ones most read today:

  • The party's not over yet!
  • You be careful, OK?
  • It's like herding cats
  • The surreal nature of it all
  • Seek not to multitask
The titles alone tell a story!

Things are pretty much as they were on the 18th of December when the Brazilian world stopped spinning. The two main issues until February will be Dilma's impeachment and Cunha's fate in the Lower Chamber and as a politician.

You need not worry about having to plan for any changes in economic policy. Just look back to Dilma's first term and you have the scenario. She is amazingly consistent and you know what G.B. Shaw said about consistency being a hobgobblin.....

Brazil will continue sliding down the chute but this time the starting point will not be the 2010 GDP growth rate!

Be ready for claims that Elvis is still alive!

See ya tomorrow!
